West Michigan has an active game development community that we would like to further encourage and build. We especially encourage young gamers to instead dedicate their time and energy learning the valuable and highly sought after skills of game development, which involve creativity, 3D modeling, animation, coding, mathematics and networking. These valuable skills can be applied to gaming, 3D engineering, robotics, remote collaboration, web development, cinematography, graphic arts, digital advertising and hopefully even the next great start-up unicorn. If you have a completed or beta version of a game that you would like to promote to the community, please contact us. To learn more and see how easy games may now be developed, we encourage young persons to visit www.unity.com as well as the associated Unity Asset Store where many premade assets are available for free or fairly inexpensively.
